Geneva Motor Show: 2010 Abarth Fiat Punto Evo


Abarth’s version of the Punto Evo that will be displayed at the Geneva Motor Show will be available in two different configurations. There will be a standard unit and an Essence version that are both equipped with a 1.4-liter Multilayer engine.


With Abarth’s upgrades to the engines, the standard unit produces 160hp while the Essence version generates 175hp. The 160 hp Punto Evo is able to accelerate to 100 km/h in about 7.5 seconds and is able to reach a maximum speed of 214 km/h (133 mph). The Alfa Romeo MiTo QV is equipped with a similar engine, which enables the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in around 7 seconds. Fuel consumption is recorded at 4.8 l/100 km (49 mpg), while emissions reach 139 g/km in combined cycle. Abarth’s Punto Evo will be displayed alongside its own version of the 500C, the winner of the Gay Car of the Year award in 2010.
